Code and systems
Software architecture, tools, version discipline and the release pipeline. The side where an idea becomes a structure that works and keeps standing.
Aktenak is a two-person studio from Kocaeli, Türkiye. One of us handles the code and systems, the other the story and design.
We bring Turkish cultural heritage and universal human values together.
The stories we tell grow out of this land; the systems we build are designed to work for everyone. We treat the local as a foundation rather than decoration, and the universal as a measure rather than a target.
We are a small studio and we see that as a method: much care for little work. We only release an app once we consider it finished, and its product page lists what it deliberately does not do.
Everything we make is free and open source. We ask for no account and collect no data. The devlog tells the decisions and the mistakes behind every release as they happened.
Good work takes its time. We fit the calendar to the work, not the work to the calendar.
If something can be removed, it is removed. Every remaining part earns its place.
Small but steady steps beat brilliant one-off moves.
We say plainly what we do and what we cannot.

World-building, narrative, characters and visual direction. The side that gives the structure its soul, the part people remember.
